What is SteadyNurse?
SteadyNurse is an NCLEX-RN® review course built around 2,600+ practice questions, 140+ printable cheat sheets, four readiness exams, and a study plan that adapts to your schedule. It runs in your browser and on iOS and Android. Our mascot is a capybara, the calmest animal we could find.
How is this different from the question bank I'm already using?
Most banks explain the right answer and move on. SteadyNurse explains why each wrong answer is wrong, links every question to a one-page review sheet, and tracks three pass targets so you know when you're ready instead of guessing. If you score fine in practice but still feel unsure, that last part is the difference.
Is it updated for the 2026 test plan?
Yes. Every question maps to the 2026 NCLEX-RN® test plan, including case studies, bow-tie, matrix, and the other Next Gen item types. When NCSBN announces a change, we update the bank before the change takes effect.
What happens if I don't pass the first time?
You wait at least 45 days before you can sit again, and some state boards ask for longer. That wait is the whole reason the yearly membership exists: 12 months for what 4 months of month-to-month costs, so a second attempt doesn't mean buying prep a second time. There's no refund and no guarantee that you'll pass — we'd rather say that plainly than bury it in conditions.
Can I use it for the NCLEX-PN®?
SteadyNurse is written for the NCLEX-RN®. The two exams overlap, but the PN test plan differs enough that we would rather tell you no than sell you a partial fit. A PN version is on the roadmap.
Can I try it before I pay?
You can look around the site as much as you like, but the question bank, the cheat sheets and the study plan are for members. There is no trial countdown and no auto-upgrading tier. You pay monthly or yearly, and you can cancel whenever you want.
How fast does support respond?
Median first response is under 10 minutes, day or night. Content questions go to nurse educators on staff. Account questions go to a person too.
Can I pause my membership?
Yes. If your exam date moves, pause from your account settings and your remaining days wait for you. There is no fee and you don't have to email anyone.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. You can split any membership into monthly payments at checkout. The total price stays the same either way.
