Terms of service
Last updated 12 August 2026
These terms cover steadynurse.com and everything inside a SteadyNurse account. Opening an account or paying for a membership means they apply to you. They are written to be read; if a section is still unclear, email [email protected] and we'll explain it in plain words.
Who you're dealing with
SteadyNurse is an NCLEX-RN® preparation service operated by SteadyNurse LLC, 1 Example Street, Suite 100, Wilmington, DE 19801. "We" and "us" mean that company. "You" means the person who holds the account.
Your account
- You need to be at least 16 to hold an account.
- Give us an address you can actually receive mail at. Verification, receipts, and your readiness report all go there.
- An account belongs to one person. Sharing a login, or selling access to one, ends the membership without a refund.
- Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it.
What a membership gets you
For as long as your membership is active, you can use the question bank, the cheat sheets, the readiness exams, and the study plan, on any device you own.
The library changes. Questions are added, rewritten, and retired as the NCSBN test plan moves, so we can't promise that a particular question or sheet stays available for the length of your membership.
Paying, renewing, and cancelling
You pay the price shown at checkout. It is charged when you start, and again at the start of each renewal term until you cancel. Sales tax or VAT is added where the law requires it.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us.
Cancel whenever you like, from your account settings or by email. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves your access running to the end of the term you already paid for.
If a renewal payment fails, access continues through a short grace period while the card is retried, and pauses if it keeps failing. Paying the outstanding invoice brings the account straight back.
Refunds
Refunds have their own page, which sets out the window on a first payment, how renewals are treated, and how to ask.
Read the refund policyPass Insurance
Pass Insurance is the length of the yearly membership, not a separate product and not a claim you file. It means your access outlasts a moved exam date or a second attempt. It is not a refund, and it is not a promise that you will pass.
How Pass Insurance worksWhat you can't do with the material
The questions, rationales, cheat sheets, artwork, and code are ours or licensed to us. Your membership buys the use of them, not ownership.
- Don't copy, resell, or publish our questions or sheets, in whole or in part.
- Don't scrape the site or collect content from it with automated tools.
- Don't use our content to train a model or to build a competing question bank.
- Don't work around the paywall, break the site, or reach data that isn't yours.
A study aid, not clinical advice
Everything here is written to prepare you for an exam. None of it is medical advice, and none of it should decide what you do for a real patient. On shift, follow your employer's policy, your preceptor, and current clinical guidance.
No guaranteed result
Whether you pass depends on the exam you sit and the work you put in. We don't guarantee a result, a score, or a licence.
NCLEX trademarks
NCLEX®, NCLEX-RN®, and NCLEX-PN® are registered trademarks of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. SteadyNurse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCSBN.
Changes to the service and to these terms
Features come and go as the product improves. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we'll email the address on your account and post the change here at least 14 days before it takes effect. Using SteadyNurse after that date means you accept the new version.
Suspending or closing an account
We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used for fraud, or that is shared or resold. Where we close an account for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the term.
Liability
SteadyNurse is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, and we don't promise it will never be down or never contain a mistake.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost earnings, exam fees, or a delayed start date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and the courts there handle any dispute. If one section turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands.
